Millennial Score

My Millennial score was 74, which was only one above the beginning of the Millennial group. http://pewresearch.org/millennials/quiz/index.php I feel my score was this low because I still have a pretty old school set life.  I don't have any tattoos, my only piercings are on my ears, my parents have been married my whole life, and I am very religious.  As far as my results are concerned, in relation to my teaching and my students learning, I really don't think it makes much of a difference.  I have always believed that different people have different beliefs and ways of lives.  I am and always have been very open to differences, and I am willing to adapt to whatever situation I am in.
Frand's 10 characteristics of the information mind set are as follows:  computers aren't technology, Internet is better than TV, reality is no longer real, doing rather than knowing, Nintendo over logic, multitasking as a way of life, typing rather than handwriting, staying connected, zero tolerance for delays, and finally consumer/creator blurring.  Honestly, I don't remember the first time I used a computer, so to me it wouldn't really be technology.  I agree that Internet is better than TV even though I still find TV valuable.  Reality is not longer real, with this I strongly agree.  With all the different programs out there for altering video and picture you never really know what is real.  In our age information does have a very short self life.  Therefore, people today are less likely to be interested in knowing things.  Often times they are more about doing it, and on this section I am quite split.  For me I would often go out and do things rather than know things, but I still feel that learning is very important.  I am not much of a gamer so I have never really been the trial and error type.  When I am learning and doing school work I would rather take my time and get it done right the first time.  Multitasking for me, is a way of life.  I have many different things going on at all times and I am very good at tackling it all simultaneously.  Additionally, I am 100% typing over handwriting.  I am a very avid user of social networking sites and cell phones, and I find them important in today's world to stay connected.  I must admit that I have a very low tolerance for delay.  The quickness with witch this age has given us things has caused me to be quite impatient.  However, this is something I work on correcting on a daily basis.  Finally I agree with consumer/creator blurring.  Most times when I view things online I have no idea who actually created it.
Overall I feel that I am in the 10 characteristics.  I feel it is very important to be in, because today's society is based on these characteristics.  If we have a lack of the information age it could be very bad for us.  We must stay up with the changing technology if we want to continue to succeed in today's world.  I had my younger brother take this quiz and his score was a 92.  He was born even deeper into the information age so I feel he is even more technologically dependent.
